What’s new this week
Friends in your world, land made ahead of you, a hotbar and chat you can move, and a steadier start on Intel graphics.

A busy week in the beta. Here’s everything you’ll notice.
New
- Friends’ worlds. Invite friends into the singleplayer world you’re playing, from its place in Friends, and choose who can join: ask first, any friend, or only you. More about friends’ worlds.
- A hotbar that moves. Move and resize the hotbar in Edit HUD. Your hearts, food, armour and experience bar travel with it.
- Chat where you want it. Move and resize chat in Edit HUD, with sample lines to place it even when chat is empty.
Improved
- Horizon now makes more of a new world’s first land, too. How Horizon works.
- Persian and Arabic text in the game uses a clearer font, sized like Minecraft’s own letters, with no gaps between joined letters. More, in Persian.
- Places with many chests run more smoothly, and lids still open and close as before.
- Smoother frame rates on computers with four or fewer processor threads.
- Invites and requests to join a world arrive with a soft sound and show up almost at once.
Fixed
- The game no longer crashes at start-up on Intel Iris Xe graphics.
- Menus and the HUD fit the window again after resizing on Intel graphics.
- Leaving a world while looking at a player or a mob no longer keeps that world in memory.
